Job Description
Therafirm, a Knit-Rite Company, is a well-established leading manufacturer of medical textile products for the prosthetic, orthotic, diabetic and medical compression industries. Therafirm has an immediate opening in our Hamlet, NC facility for a Production Manager.

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing production departments as assigned, while ensuring that personnel in these departments meet goals and expectations including the Hamlet Key Metrics.

The Production Manager will primarily train under the Hamlet Plant Manager, as well as the Operations Assistant Manager and Hamlet Quality Manager, learning all details of plant management and quality assurance as well as be exposed to all manufacturing to include Knitting, Sewing, Boarding, Dying, Process Improvement and R&D to gain a broad understanding of all plant processes.

• Analyze daily the WIP report to understand the status of orders to ensure that due dates are achieved
to meet fulfillment goals and activity dates to ensure that through-put goals are maintained.
• Effectively manage, coach and motivate the department personnel as well as provide direction,
leadership and delegate to department Lead personnel.
• Responsible for all department personnel including, but not limited to, direct involvement in the
interview process, review process and timely feedback to associates of positive and negative
performance, including timely disciplinary action to improve associate performance when required, and
advancement and promotion of associates.
• Cross train department associates to become proficient in all areas of the department and continuously
maintain associates skills by moving them to different tasks within the department.
• Responsible for product quality, accuracy and completion of work according to deadlines.
• Participates in weekly production meetings.
• Actively leads 5S activities for department
• Continually gains understanding of all manufacturing processes, equipment, and capacity, to identify
avenues for improvement.
• Play a key role in the leadership of Lean and Process Improvement initiatives
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Textiles Technology or Textile Engineering emphasis preferred, but not required
• Leadership and organizational aptitude a must
• Strong computer and technical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and
with all levels of management
