Richmond Community College will once again be honoring veterans this fall with an Our Heroes’ Tree® programs at our Hamlet Campus and our Scotland County Campus. We invite you to participate and/or attend an Our Heroes’ Tree Event. Each event is free and open to the public. The displaying of the tree will remain through Veteran's Day. Our Heroes’ Tree® is a national initiative that bridges military and civilian communities by honoring the service and sacrifice of U.S. service members and their families. Communities, classrooms, families and groups come together to discover and celebrate the names and stories of family members, friends, neighbors and others who have served or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. They create remembrance ornaments that are hung on a tree honoring the legacies of American service people.
